Stay away from JUNK, Stay with NUTRIENTS ...!

One of the major reason for facing overweight, obesity problems is adding JUNK foods as a SNACK in our diet, which is lack of NUTRIENTS and it adds additional calories to our diet.
Generally JUNK foods (Highly Processed) are high in calories, sugar, and unhealthy fats and low in nutrients, which is not recommended for healthy lifestyle and moreover sugar with fat combination will make JUNK addictive.
Some of the known Junk foods are chips, candy, biscuits, pastries, ice creams etc. But in that list energy drinks, packed juices and other beverages which are high in sugars also falls under JUNK category.
Constantly consuming over food junk especially and associating with strict dieting for certain period may help for weight loss but it is not a healthy practice to follow and it creates unhealthy relationship with food.
Consuming your favourite foods in MODERATION on holidays, events and other special days can help you to stick with your healthy diet.
It is advisable to replace your JUNK foods with healthy snacks like seasonal fruits, nuts or fresh veggies, salad to avoid cravings and also it improves your overall nutrition.
